🔒 Privacy At A Glance
Smart PC Control operates 100% locally on your private Wi-Fi network. We do not collect, store, record, transmit, or sell your keystrokes, screen stream, passwords, files, or personal information. Third-party advertising (Google AdMob) is integrated to support free access while strictly adhering to Google Play policies.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Smart PC Control ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding our local operations and minimal data requirements.
2. Nature of the Application (100% Local Peer-to-Peer)
Smart PC Control enables users to wirelessly control their Windows PC (mouse navigation, keyboard typing, multimedia shortcuts, and real-time screen streaming) through a direct local Wi-Fi connection between their mobile device and companion PC agent.
- No Cloud Servers for Control: All mouse trackpad movements, keyboard inputs, and screen video frames are transmitted strictly between your phone and your PC over your private Local Area Network (LAN).
- No Account Required: You do not need to register an account, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, or password to use Smart PC Control.
- No Keystroke Logging: The Application never logs, records, or caches keys typed on the virtual keyboard.
3. Information We Collect and Process
| Data Type | Collected / Stored Remotely | Purpose & Handling |
|---|---|---|
| Personal Details (Name, Email, Contacts) | NO | We do not collect or request any personal identifiers. |
| Keystrokes & Typing Input | NO | Forwarded directly to your PC agent in real-time over local Wi-Fi and instantly discarded. |
| Screen Stream Video Data | NO | Streamed directly from your PC to your phone in memory. Never saved or transmitted outside your local network. |
| Local Network IP & PC Name | Local Device Only | Saved solely within your phone's local storage (SharedPreferences) to remember paired PCs. Never uploaded. |
| Advertising & Device Identifiers (AdMob) | Yes (Third-Party) | Processed automatically by Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising, analytics, and fraud detection. |
4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
Smart PC Control displays advertisements served by Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC). Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous data in compliance with Google's Privacy Policy, including:
- Google Advertising ID (AAID)
- IP address (used to infer coarse geographic region for localized ads)
- App usage statistics, ad interaction metrics, and crash diagnostics
- Device identifiers, operating system version, and model

You can control or reset your Google Advertising ID on your Android device anytime by navigating to Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID or Delete Advertising ID.
5. Android Permissions Used by the Application
Smart PC Control requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function properly on your local network:
- INTERNET: Required to establish local TCP/UDP sockets with your PC on your local Wi-Fi network and to fetch banner/interstitial advertisements from Google AdMob.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE & ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Used to verify active Wi-Fi connection and identify your local subnet for seamless automatic PC discovery.
- CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE: Required on Android devices to receive UDP discovery broadcasts sent by the PC companion agent without manual IP entry.
- VIBRATE: Used solely to provide optional tactile haptic feedback during trackpad taps and virtual keyboard keypresses.
6. Security of Your Data
Because Smart PC Control operates exclusively over your local Wi-Fi network without intermediary cloud servers, your control data and desktop stream remain within your private local network perimeter. We recommend keeping your home/office Wi-Fi protected with modern security standards (WPA2/WPA3).
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Our Application is not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will take prompt corrective action.
8. User Rights and Data Deletion
Since all connection preferences, sensitivity adjustments, and paired PC records are stored solely in your device's local memory (via Android SharedPreferences):
- You can unpair any PC at any time from the in-app Settings screen.
- You can instantly purge all local application data by going to Android Settings → Apps → Smart PC Control → Storage → Clear Data or by uninstalling the application.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements, feature additions, or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated "Effective Date". We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
